Bivouac in the Desert
Of all the experiences in life, your wish-list should include a night spent in a Nomad Camp in the desert. It really is an unforgettable memory and one that may tug at you to come back many times. The vastness of the environment, the silence that is incomparable, the peace it restores, the magic of the hospitality and the chance to reconnect with the earth are just a few reasons. The Berber bivouac is an exceptional affair. Sitting around the crackling campfire, eating delicious locally prepared meals, listening to the hypnotic rhythms of the traditional drumming music and song, marvelling at the immense sky of stars above and around you, all this, what more could you ask for.
We offer our guests the opportunity to enjoy the sunset camel trek to your desert camp to add to the amazing experience. In the morning too you can get up early to see the sunrise over the golden dunes, watching the light changing as it moves along the sand chasing away the night sky, it really is a very special time of the day.
If one night is not enough for you then we propose our camel trekking tours, spend a few nights with the Nomads, learning their ways of life, trek during the day to explore the different environs and landscapes and listen to their stories and music in the evening. These treks can be for a few days or longer, just email us for more information about this incredible adventure and life changing experience.

Observing the Stars in the Sahara Desert

The Sahara dunes of Erg Chebbi isthe ideal place where you can star gaze as the sky is usually clear and as it is so expansive, you can see many constellations, planets, shooting stars and of course the Milky Way. The best times are of course during the dark of the moon, when the sky is at its clearest and we can organize a program to include a camel ride and overnight at a suitable location.

Honeymoon in the Magical Sahara Desert
The golden dunes of the Sahara are perhaps one of the most romantic locations one could imagine to escape away to after your hectic wedding days. The peacefulness, the magical star filled nights, sitting together on the high dune to watch the sunrise and sunset, enjoying time together and relaxing under Sahrawian skies; what better way to start your new life together. If you would like us to propose an itinerary to include some visits to places of interest during your stay in Morocco, we would be happy to do so.
We can create a truly memorable Honeymoon experience for you.

Kashah Ait Ben Haddou

Aït Benhaddou is an ighrem (fortified village in English) (ksar in Arabic), along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech in present-day Morocco. Most citizens attracted by the tourist trade live in more modern dwellings in a village on the other side of the river, although there are four families still living in the ancient village. Inside the walls of the ksar are half a dozen (Kasbahs) or merchants houses and other individual dwellings, and is a great example of Moroccan earthen clay architecture.
Aït Benhaddou has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987

Happy People

After spending two hectic days in Marrakech, this was a welcome change of pace. My husband and I took the 4 day/3 night tour from Marrakech to Fez and were paired up with a very pleasant mother and daughter. The tour guides were great! We had Essalah for the first few hours, then we had Dave. Alright, his name wasn't really Dave, but he gave us all Berber names, so we decided to call him Dave. You'll know him by his love of Celine Dion.
The countryside was beautiful and we took many pictures and visited a lot of historical sites and other attractions. On the day of our camel trek, there was a large sandstorm (and I had caught a cold), so it was very windy overnight. We still climbed the dunes, enjoyed a nice dinner, and camped out in the tents. It was a lot of fun and the next day turned out to be beautiful. I am not an outdoorsy person and I'm not a fan of camping, but when I look at the pictures from the sand dunes, I want to go back and do it again. Maybe even TWO days in the tent!
Booking the tour over the internet was very easy and we had no concerns at all. Robbin was very helpful and the four day trip is well worth the price. Both Jamal and Camelia were excellent guides and a pleasure to spend several days in an SUV with. It was a very long drive but this tour was the highlight of my vacation!
Every time we listen to Platinum Hit Parade Volume 2, we will think of Jamal, Morocco, and the wonderful time we had!
